Faridabad Industries Association led by Mr. Sanjeev Khemka, President FIA, met Union Ministers as well as Speaker of Lok Sabha and requested for a clear and transparent policy regarding the future of industries in Delhi-NCR. This was necessitated because of a order dated 2nd July 2019 from Central Pollution Control Board to various State Pollution Control Boards directing them to issue directions within 15 days to all industries where Gas is available and who have not converted to Gas to close operation.
The FIA delegation alongwith Sh. Vipul Goel, Minister of Industries & Commerce and Environment, Govt. of Haryana, met Sh. Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Smt. Smriti Irani, Minister of Textiles as well as Hon’ble Speaker of Lok Sabha and highlighted the concern.
Earlier the delegation also met Sh. Prakash Javadekar, Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and shared their concerns.
The Union Ministers as well as the Speaker Lok Sabha not only understood the problem put across by the delegates but also assured that efforts will be made to look after the interest of the industries.
Apart from Mr. Khemka the other delegates included Mr. Jasmeet Singh, General Secretary, Mr. S.S. Banga, Mr. Vijay Jindal, Mr. Mukesh Aggarwal, Mr. Anil Jain and Col.S. Kapoor, Executive Director, FIA.
